Hubspot Integration Guide
This guide explains how to connect your ScoreApp Scorecard to your Hubspot account so that you can automatically sync new leads and data into contact records in Hubspot.
Before We Begin
Before setting up the integration between ScoreApp and HubSpot, please ensure the following:
- Create a Static List in HubSpot: This list will be used to add new leads collected through your Scorecard. Only static lists can be selected during the integration process, so make sure to set this up in advance. For help creating a static list, visit the HubSpot Help Center.
- Create a Custom Property for Quiz Results: In HubSpot, create a custom property where you will store the quiz results from ScoreApp. This ensures you can track and view the quiz outcomes for each contact in your HubSpot account.
Having these elements prepared will streamline the integration process.
Installation
- Login to ScoreApp and ensure you've selected the Scorecard you wish to integrate
- From the left menu navigate to Integrate
Find and select Hubspot in the list of integrations, click configure
- Click to authenticate
- You will then be directed to authenticate and choose your account in Hubspot.
- Once you've chosen your account, review the requested scopes on this screen.
- After clicking connect you'll be returned to ScoreApp where you can further configure your integration
Configuration
In the Settings section of your integration, you'll be asked to choose a HubSpot list where your leads will be added. Only static lists will appear in this selection, as the integration does not support live lists. If you don’t see your list, ensure it is set as a static list in HubSpot.
Next is the Map Lead Form Fields section, where some basic lead data will be automatically mapped to your HubSpot contact record.
Working through the integration, you will then reach the Map Result Fields section. Here, you can choose a HubSpot property field to store the quiz results for each contact. You have the flexibility to choose from different types of data based on what you consider most relevant, such as Category Score, Highest score, Score Tier, etc.
Mapping fields
To map any other fields from ScoreApp to Hubspot click Add field. You can then choose your Hubspot field followed by your ScoreApp field. If you would like to map data into custom fields in Hubspot you must add the field to Hubspot first, and then refresh the integration page within ScoreApp to show the new field.
Testing integration
Once you have mapped your fields you can press Test integration. This will take your last lead (or will generate an example lead) and attempt to sync it to your Hubspot account. You will see either a success message, or a failure message along with any additional error messages to help you resolve the issues.
