Kit (formerly Convertkit) & Scoreapp Integration
This article assumes you are already logged into your Kit account before following the steps. If you are not logged in, the system may prompt you to do so first, which may slightly alter the order of the steps described below.
Important
- ConvertKit has rebranded and will now be referred to as Kit moving forward.
- Before starting the integration, please ensure to create a Custom Field in Kit, this field will store each lead's result after completing the Scorecard.
Information: Resources from Kit
- Click here for instructions on how to create tags.
- Click here for instructions on how to create a custom field.
Step 1: Authenticate Scoreapp with Kit
- From your Scoreapp home page, navigate to the left-hand menu bar and click Integrate.
- Then find the Kit icon in the list of available apps and click Configure.
- Click the Connect button to begin the process.
- You will be prompted to enter your Kit API Secret Key.
- To find your API Secret Key, go to Settings > Developer > V3 Key in your Kit account.
Note: Kit displays both an API Key and an API Secret Key, but you only need the API Secret Key for this integration.
- Once you've entered the required information in Scoreapp, click the Save button.
Step 2: Customize Your Integration
In the Settings section, you'll be presented with options for labeling your contacts in Kit (only Form is required)
- Form: Use this option to subscribe your opt-ins to a specific form after they complete the scorecard.
- Opt-in Status: This option allows you to label each opt-in based on their actions. For example, you could label those who completed the form as "Customers" and those who abandoned the scorecard as "Potential Leads."
- Start and Finish Tags: Use these tags to categorize your scorecard takers based on their progress. For instance, you could tag them as "Prospects" when they first provide their email and as "Leads" once they complete the scorecard.
- Scroll down to the Map Lead Form Fields section. Here, you’ll notice that all fields from your lead form are automatically mapped to the corresponding fields in Kit. No action is required unless you wish to adjust these mappings.
- Navigate to the Map Result Fields section to connect the scorecard result data to a custom field in Kit:
- Click Add Field to open a pop-up window.
If you didn’t create the custom field in Kit earlier and instead paused the integration to create it now, Scoreapp won’t show a "refresh" option at this step. To update the integration, exit and re-enter the page so the new field appears.
- In the pop-up, select the piece of result information from ScoreApp that you’d like to transfer. Then, choose the corresponding custom field in ActiveCampaign where this information will be stored.
- Click Save to confirm.
- Finally, click the Test Integration button to ensure everything is set up correctly.
Troubleshooting
Unable to See Leads in Kit?
By default, Kit enables a "double opt-in" process for your leads. This means that after entering their email in ScoreApp, Kit will send them an email requiring them to take action to confirm their opt-in and join your list. Until they complete this step, they will not appear in your contact list in Kit.
To resolve this, you have two options:
- Disable Double Opt-In in Kit: This will allow leads to be added to your contact list without requiring confirmation.
- Use Filters to View Pending Leads: Apply filters in Kit to see the number of leads who are still pending opt-in confirmation.
