Mailchimp & ScoreApp Integration

Important

Before starting the integration, please ensure the following is set up in MailChimp:

  • Having a list ready: This is where your Scorecard leads are added.
  • Create a Merge Field: This field will store each lead's result after completing the Scorecard.

Information

To create a merge field in MailChimp:

  • Go to All Contacts.
  • Confirm that the list selected at the top of the page is the one you’ll integrate with the Scorecard.
  • Click Settings.
  • Select Merge fields and merge tags.

Step 1: Authenticate Scoreapp with Mailchimp

From your Scoreapp home page, navigate to the left-hand menu bar and click Integrate.

Then find the Mailchimp icon in the list of available apps and click Configure.

Click the Connect button to begin the process.

  • Scoreapp will prompt you to authenticate your Mailchimp account by entering the API key. You can find this information in your Mailchimp account under Profile > Extras > API keys
  • Once you've entered the required information, click the Save button.

Step 2: Customize Your Integration

  • In the Settings section, select a list from the drop-down menu.
  • You’ll also see additional options to apply tags to your audience when they start or complete the survey. While tagging is optional, it can help you track who started the survey but didn’t finish it, or identify those who completed the entire process.

Scroll down to the Map Lead Form Fields section. Here, you’ll notice that all fields from your lead form are automatically mapped to the corresponding fields in Mailchimp. No action is required unless you wish to adjust these mappings.

Navigate to the Map Result Fields section to connect the scorecard result data to a custom field in Mailchimp:

Click Add Field to open a pop-up window.

If you didn’t create the merge field in Mailchimp earlier and instead paused the integration to create it now, Scoreapp won’t show a "refresh" option at this step. To update the integration, exit and re-enter the page so the new field appears.

  • In the pop-up, select the piece of result information from ScoreApp that you’d like to transfer. Then, choose the corresponding merge field in Mailchimp where this information will be stored.
  • Click Save to confirm.

Finally, click the Test Integration button to ensure everything is set up correctly.
