Zoho CRM & ScoreApp Integration
Before starting the integration, log into your Zoho CRM account. This will help prevent authentication issues and allow ScoreApp to access the necessary data.
Important
Ensure you create a custom field in Zoho to store each lead’s Scorecard result. This field helps Scoreapp to properly transfer and organize the data inside Zoho, allowing you to track and segment leads based on their results.
Information
- For more details on how to create custom fields in Zoho CRM, refer to this documentation.
- When setting up your custom field, ensure it is either "Single Line" or "Multi Line", as these field types support text input.
Step 1: Authenticate Scoreapp with Zoho
From your Scoreapp home page, navigate to the left-hand menu bar and click Integrate.
Then find the Zoho icon in the list of available apps and click Configure.
Please Note: Do not select "Zoho Marketing Automation," as this is a separate integration with a different setup.
Press the Click to Authenticate button to begin the process.
A new browser tab will open, prompting you to click "Accept" to grant Scoreapp access.
Note: If you have multiple Zoho accounts, ensure you select the correct one before clicking Accept.
Scroll down to Settings, where you'll see some fields already mapped. The Zoho Module determines where Scorecard takers will be sent in Zoho. By default, they are mapped to Leads.
However, you can change this to Contacts if you prefer that they be added directly to the Contacts module in Zoho.
Note: If you change the Zoho Module to Contacts, a warning message will appear. Click Continue to proceed.
Additionally, the Contact Merge Settings is set to "Create new or update based on email" by default. It is recommended to leave this setting as is.
Step 2: Customize Your Integration
Scroll down to the Map Lead Form Fields section. Here, you’ll notice that all fields from your lead form are automatically mapped to the corresponding fields in Zoho. No action is required unless you wish to adjust these mappings.
Navigate to the Map Result Fields section to connect the scorecard result data to a custom field in Zoho. Click Add Field
If you didn’t create the custom field in Zoho earlier and instead paused the integration to create it now, Scoreapp won’t show a "refresh" option at this step. To update the integration, exit and re-enter the page so the new field appears.
- Once the new field is visible in Scoreapp, select the custom field you created from the drop-down menu. For this example, we named the field "Scoreapp Result" to make it easier to find.
- In the Scoreapp Field drop-down menu, select "Highest Category" to store the result inside Zoho.
- Click Save to confirm the mapping.
Important: Do not select "Tag" from the first drop-down, even though it might seem logical for tracking where leads come from. Zoho requires tag values in JSONObject format, not plain text. If you attempt to map this data to the Tag field, the system will return an error, and only names and emails will be transferred—other data will be lost
Finally, click "test integration"
Once the integration is running, contacts in Zoho should appear like this.
Transferring Scorecard Responses to Zoho
If you want to store answers to specific questions from your scorecard inside Zoho, follow these steps:
- Go to the Map Result Fields section and click "add field"
- In the Zoho Field drop-down menu, choose the custom field you created in Zoho to store the answer.
- For example, if you want to save the answer to Question 1, you can name the custom field "Q1" in Zoho to make it easier to identify.
- In the Scoreapp Field drop-down menu, select "Answer" to link an answer to this field.
- A new Field Option drop-down will appear—click on it and find the specific question you want to map.
- Save Your Changes
- Repeat these steps for any other questions you want to store in Zoho.
