2. Billing Frequency: Monthly vs. Annual

When selecting a paid plan (Starter, Business, or Pro), you can choose between Monthly or Annual billing:

Monthly Billing

  • Pay each month on the same date (e.g., every 1st or 15th, based on when you start your subscription).
  • Great for flexibility if you have seasonal or short-term needs.
  • Can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time with changes applied at the start of the next billing cycle with the exception on upgrades which happen instantly.

Annual Billing

  • Pay upfront for an entire year.
  • Usually costs the equivalent of 9 months at the normal monthly rate (i.e., you save 3 months).
  • Once purchased, you’re committed for the year.

3. Using Your Monthly Responses

Each plan comes with a monthly response limit, the number of quiz completions you can collect every month. On paid plans, you will:

  • Receive notifications at key usage points (e.g., 80% and 100% of your limit).
  • Continue to collect responses up to 120% of the allocated quota however the lead data will be unavailable until you upgrade.
  • After 120%, your scorecard will become unavailable for new leads until the next billing cycle (or until you add extra responses or upgrade).

Exceeding Your Limit?

• You can purchase additional responses on a rolling basis. For example, you might add blocks of 500, 1,000, or more leads for a small additional fee.

• Alternatively, upgrading your plan will automatically increase your monthly response allowance.

4. Upgrading or Downgrading Your Plan

Upgrading

  • Immediate Effect
  • If you upgrade mid-cycle (e.g., from Starter to Business), you’ll only pay a pro-rated difference for the remainder of your billing period.
  • Your new higher response limit and extra features become accessible immediately.

Downgrading

  • At the Next Billing Cycle
  • When you downgrade (e.g., from Pro to Starter), changes typically apply at the next billing date.
  • If you rely on Pro/Business-only features, like a custom domain, custom sender email, or PDF reports, these features will need to be disabled before the end of your billing cycle otherwise it's possible your Scorecard(s) will be put into draft mode.
  • You will see a warning message during the downgrade process that will tell you which items need disabling or removing however if you do not resolve those items the following will happen:
    • Having premium sections, multiple results pages or having too many live scorecards will result in drafting some scorecards
    • Having PDFs will result in drafting those PDFs
    • Having too many collaborators or sent invites will result in removing some of those
    • Having a custom domain or email signature will result in removing those
    • Having integration audience tags mapped will remove those
    • In other cases (audiences, experiments, abandon emails, etc) - this feature will be disabled. Buying a more expensive plan will re-enable that feature with all it's settings saved.

Changing Annual to Monthly or Vice Versa

  • Contact Support
  • If you’re on an annual plan but want to switch to monthly, or you want to switch from monthly to annual for a discount, please contact our Support Team.
  • We can help pro-rate fees or arrange credits so your new plan aligns with your billing preferences.

5. Cancelling Your Subscription

We’re sorry to see you go but understand circumstances may change. If you're cancelling because something hasn't worked out as expected please do contact our support team first. We have a team of product and marketing experts who would love to try and make things a success for you.

How to Cancel

  1. Log into your ScoreApp account.
  2. Go to Account SettingsBillingCurrent Plan.
  3. Click Cancel Plan and follow the prompts (or “Pause instead?” if you’d like to take a short break).

Effective Date

  • Your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle (monthly or annual). You won’t be charged again, and your account automatically reverts to the Free plan if you do not re-subscribe.

Data Retention

  • When your plan is canceled and moves to the Free plan, you keep your previously collected leads, but premium features (e.g., additional scorecards, custom domains, PDF reports) go offline.
  • If your account remains inactive for six months or more, it will be deleted per ScoreApp’s data retention policy.

6. Pausing Your Subscription

For customers on monthly plans, we offer a pause function if you just need a short break:

  • Pause Duration: Up to three months.
  • Access During Pause:
    • Your scorecards remain in your dashboard but go offline (no new leads).
    • You do not lose data or design settings; everything is saved.
    • You can continue to make edits and build your Scorecards
  • Resuming:
    • After the pause period, your plan automatically resumes (and billing restarts).
    • You may also manually resume earlier if you wish.

7. Refunds and Credits

ScoreApp offers a 14 day money back guarantee. If you're within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase and decide ScoreApp is not right for you, please just get in touch with support who will be happy to assist. Outside of this, as per our terms and conditions, no other refunds will be allowed.

8. Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I’ve run out of responses. Can I test my scorecard without using them up?

Yes. Switch your scorecard to Draft Mode in Build → Settings → General. Testing in draft mode does not use your monthly responses, but others can’t access a draft mode quiz unless you specifically enable the password-protected preview.

  2. Can I reuse my old scorecards if I cancel or pause my subscription?

Absolutely. They’re stored in your account. If your subscription is canceled or paused, they go into draft mode and offline. Once you return to a paid plan, you can publish them again. Note, if your free account is inactive for more than 6 months, it will be automatically deleted and will not be recoverable.

  3. What if I need multiple custom domains or email senders on the Business/Pro plan?

Business and pro plans include one domain. If you need more, contact Support to purchase additional domain slots or discuss a custom arrangement.

  4. Do you offer a discount for charities, non-profits, or educational institutions?

We may offer special rates or free accounts to charities at various times. Contact us with documentation of your charity status for consideration.

  5. Is there a way to get advanced help or training?

We run free Setup & Score Webinars every week for everyone. Paid users also get a 1-1 onboarding call made available via the dashboard.

  6. Where can I find my invoices or receipts?

Go to Account SettingsBillingBilling History to download invoices and receipts. You’ll also receive them via email after each payment.
