Setting Up and Sharing Experiments (A/B Tests) in ScoreApp

To use the Experiment feature in ScoreApp to run A/B tests, follow the steps below.

How it works: When setting up an A/B test (Experiment), it's important to understand the role of the main page:

• The Main Page acts as the starting point for the experiment.
• This is the only page that contains the redirect script. When you send traffic to this page, it will randomly redirect visitors to one of the experiment’s variants.
• Visits only count when the user lands on the URL provided by the experiment feature, not on variant pages directly.

How to Set Up an Experiment Correctly

Go to Build > Experiments.

Click Create Experiment.

• Give your experiment a name.
• Under Select Main Page, choose the page that visitors will land on to start the test.
• Then click "Create"

Click "Add Variant" and select the alternate version you want to test.

Once your variants are set, click Add

Set the experiment end, and click Start.

If you share a variant’s URL directly, it will not trigger the experiment or redirect to other versions.

Not Seeing Data?

If you're not seeing any visits registered in the experiment:

✅ Double-check which link you're sharing. It must be the Main Page

✅ Make sure the experiment is active

Need to Change the Main Page?

You can't change the main page in an existing experiment. If you need a different one:

• Stop the current experiment.
• Create a new experiment using the correct Main Page (e.g., your home page).
• Then add your variants again and start the new test.
