Understanding Stats When Sending Traffic Directly to the Questions Page
If you're directing your audience straight to the questions page (skipping the landing page), it’s important to know how ScoreApp tracks and displays your data so you can properly analyze quiz performance.
This article explains what the different metrics mean and why you may see some unexpected numbers.
Visitors vs. Started Leads
Visitors:
- This number includes anyone who
lands
on the questions page or landing page, depending on the link you shared. - If you skip the landing page and direct users straight to the questions, each visitor who lands on that page is counted here, even if they don’t answer any questions.
Started Leads:
- A started lead is
only
countedwhen a user submits an answer
to the first question. - If a visitor clicks options on the first question but never submits the response (e.g., clicks away), they are not counted as a started lead.
Tip: To estimate how many visitors abandoned before answering the first question, subtract your Started Leads from Visitors.
Why Abandonments May Show as "0" on the First Question
If someone views the first question but doesn't submit an answer, we do not store that data. This helps keep the database clean and optimized.
So in the Questions Performance section, the first question will always show 0 abandonments, even if visitors landed there and left without interacting.
✅ This is expected behavior, not a bug.
What Does "Asked Times" Mean?
Each time a question is answered, it increases the "Asked Times" counter.
How to Read Completion Drop-Offs
- To analyze how many people dropped off mid-quiz, subtract Finished Leads from Started Leads.
- Then, head to the Question Performance table to see which questions had the most abandonments. This will help you identify where people are getting stuck.
Summary
