External Redirect for Result Pages

With External Redirects, you can replace a ScoreApp results page with any external URL, such as a website, landing page, or another ScoreApp quiz.

Important

  • All ScoreApp accounts (including free) can now create multiple results pages.
  • External Redirects are available starting from the Business Plan.

Step 1: Create an External Redirect

From your Scorecard, navigate to Results Pages.

Click Create Result Page.

  • You will see two options:
    • Dynamic Result Page (standard ScoreApp results page)
    • External Redirect
  • Select External Redirect.

  • Enter a Name (e.g., “shopping cart”) and the URL you want to redirect to (e.g., https://www.google.com).
  • Click Add redirect.
  • You can now use this external redirect anywhere you would use a standard results page, as a default page, within jump logic, or in integrations.

Note: External Redirects do not redirect based on scores or categories by themselves. Instead, you can use merge tags (e.g., Highest Category Name or Lowest Category Name) to pass that information into the redirect URL. The external page you’re sending users to will then decide how to use those parameters.

Step 2: Add Merge Tags to Your Redirect URL

  • Merge tags allow you to pass lead data (such as name, score, or category results) into your redirect URL.
  • When editing your External Redirect, add parameters to your URL (e.g., ?firstname=).
  • Click the Merge Tag button and select the data you want to include.

Example: First name

type?Firstname=

Then click the merge field icon and look for the value you want to append.

The system will add {first_name} to teh URL

  • Save your redirect.
  • When a lead completes the Scorecard, ScoreApp will replace the merge tags with actual data before redirecting. For example: https://www.mydomain.com?firstname={{George}}

Tracking External Redirect Activity

External redirects are fully tracked in "leads," located on the left-hand side of your scorecard. This makes it possible to measure engagement, even if the final destination is outside of ScoreApp.
