Showing or Hiding the Back Button on Question Pages

You can control whether quiz takers are allowed to go back and change their answers while completing a quiz. This gives you more control over how people move through your questions, especially if you want responses to be answered in a specific order or prevent changes to earlier answers.

Information

When enabled, the Back button allows quiz takers to return to previous questions and change their answers.
When disabled, quiz takers must move forward through the quiz without the option to go back.
This setting applies at the section level, giving you flexibility over how each part of your quiz behaves.

How to Enable or Disable the Back Button

Go to Questions in your scorecard.

Click the Sections icon (the third icon from the left).

Make sure "Questions" is selected.

In the right-hand settings panel, locate the option Show Back Button.

Toggle the setting:

On to allow quiz takers to go back
Off to prevent backward navigation
Click save at the top-right corner.

Notes

This setting only affects quiz takers, not the quiz builder experience.
Existing quizzes will retain their current behavior unless this setting is changed.
