Connecting ScoreApp to Claude and ChatGPT
You can now connect your ScoreApp account to Claude or ChatGPT, so you can ask questions about your scorecards and leads in plain English and get answers straight back in the chat. Please note - access to this functionality maybe limited by the specific plan or roll out of the feature within your Claude or ChatGPT account.
Once connected, you can ask things like:
- "How many leads did my Marketing Health Check scorecard get this month?"
- "What are the most common answers to question 3 on my quiz?"
- "Summarise the last 20 leads from my Business Growth scorecard and tell me what they're struggling with."
- "Which of my scorecard categories are people scoring lowest on?"
The connection is read-only. Claude and ChatGPT can look at your scorecards, questions and leads, but they can't change, delete or add anything in your ScoreApp account.
Important
Before you start, please make sure you have:
- A ScoreApp account with at least one scorecard.
- For Claude: (at the time of writing) any plan works, including Free. Free accounts are limited to one custom connector.
- For ChatGPT: (at the time of writing) a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan, with Developer Mode switched on. Custom connectors aren't available on ChatGPT Free.
You'll also need this ScoreApp connector URL - copy it now, you'll paste it in a moment:
https://mcp.scoreapp.com
Step 1: Add the connector
In Claude
- Go to claude.ai and sign in.
- Click your initials in the bottom-left corner, then click Settings.
- Select Connectors from the left-hand menu.
- Click Add custom connector.
- Paste
https://mcp.scoreapp.cominto the Remote MCP server URL box. - Give it a name, we suggest ScoreApp, and click Add.
If you're on a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, your organisation owner may need to add the connector first, under Organization settings > Connectors. After that, you'll find it under Settings > Connectors and can click Connect.
In ChatGPT
- Go to chatgpt.com and sign in.
- Open Settings, then go to Apps & Connectors.
- Under Advanced settings, switch on Developer mode.
- Go back to Apps & Connectors and click Create.
- Paste
https://mcp.scoreapp.cominto the MCP server URL box. - Name it ScoreApp, choose OAuth as the authentication method, and click Create.
If you're on a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan, your workspace admin may have switched Developer Mode off or restricted which connectors can be added. If you can't see the option, please speak to your admin.
Step 2: Authorise your ScoreApp account
The first time you use the connector, you'll be sent to ScoreApp to approve the connection.
- You'll see a page headed Authorization request, telling you that Claude (or ChatGPT) is requesting permission to access your ScoreApp account.
- If you have access to more than one ScoreApp account, choose the one you want to connect from the Account to grant access to dropdown.
- Click Authorize.
You'll be sent back to Claude or ChatGPT, and the connection is ready to use.
Information
Each connection is tied to one ScoreApp account. If you manage several accounts and want to switch between them, you'll need to remove the connector and add it again, choosing the other account when you authorise.
Step 3: Start asking questions
In Claude, click the + button in the message box, choose Connectors, and switch on ScoreApp. Then just ask your question.
In ChatGPT, click the + button in the message box, select Developer mode, and tick ScoreApp. Then ask your question.
It helps to name the scorecard you're asking about, for example: "Using ScoreApp, list the last 10 leads from my Leadership Style Quiz and show me their scores."
What ScoreApp shares
The connector can read the following from the account you authorised:
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Your scorecards | Name, web address, status |
| Questions | Question text, type, answer options, and the categories each question feeds |
| Categories | Title, type and scoring logic |
| Leads | First name, last name, email, status and the date they came in |
| Answers | What each lead answered, the option they chose, and the score it earned |
| Scores | Score, potential score and percentage, by category |
| Lead source | UTM source, campaign, medium, term and content |
| Activity | The timeline of what a lead did and which pages they saw |
| Contact enhance data | Any extra contact information ScoreApp has enriched |
Important
Because a connection lets an AI assistant read your lead data - including names and email addresses - only connect ScoreApp to an account you control, and don't share your Claude or ChatGPT chats containing lead data with people who shouldn't see it.
What you won't see
A few things are deliberately left out, and it's worth knowing why so the answers make sense:
- Hidden leads. If you have more leads than your plan allows, the extra ones stay hidden. The connector can see that they exist, but not their names, email addresses or answers. Upgrading your plan unlocks them.
- Lead access depends on your permissions. If your user role doesn't include managing leads for a scorecard, the connector can't read leads for it either. You'll see a message saying your role doesn't include access to leads.
- Some data depends on your plan. Lead source, activity timelines and contact enhance data are only available on plans that include those features. If your plan doesn't, you'll get a message saying so.
- Nothing can be changed. There's no way for Claude or ChatGPT to edit your scorecards, add questions, or delete leads through this connection.
Disconnecting
You can remove the connection at any time.
In Claude: go to Settings > Connectors, find ScoreApp, click the three-dot menu and choose Remove.
In ChatGPT: go to Settings > Apps & Connectors, find ScoreApp, and delete the connector.
Once removed, the assistant immediately loses all access to your ScoreApp data.
Troubleshooting
"No registered MCP client matches the redirect URIs"
The ScoreApp connector currently works with Claude and ChatGPT only. Other AI tools — such as Cursor, Claude Code or your own scripts — can't connect yet. If you'd like to see another tool supported, please let us know.
Claude or ChatGPT says it can't see any scorecards
Check that you authorised the right ScoreApp account. If you have access to more than one, remove the connector, add it again, and pick the correct account from the dropdown.
Claude or ChatGPT says it can't access leads
Your user role for that scorecard probably doesn't include managing leads. An account owner can update your role in ScoreApp.
Leads come back with no name or email
Those leads are hidden because they're over your plan's lead allowance. Upgrading your plan will unlock them.
The connector asks you to sign in again
Authorisations are checked against your account access on every request. If your access to an account was removed or changed, you'll need to reconnect.
Is this the same as my API key?
No. ScoreApp secret keys (under Account > API keys) are for the ScoreApp Open API and won't work for connecting Claude or ChatGPT. The connector uses its own secure sign-in flow, and you never need to paste a key into an AI tool.
