Connecting ScoreApp to Claude and ChatGPT (MCP)
Connect your ScoreApp account to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about your scorecards and leads in plain English i.e. "how many people finished my quiz last month?", "which question loses the most people?", "what did people who scored under 40 say about pricing?"
The connection is currently read-only. An assistant can read your data, but it can't change, delete or add anything in your ScoreApp account.
Before you start
- You'll need a ScoreApp account and a Claude or ChatGPT account.
- Claude works on every plan. Free accounts can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector first, then members connect to it.
- ChatGPT needs Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, with Developer mode turned on.
Your connection URL is:
https://mcp.scoreapp.com
You can also find it in ScoreApp under Account → MCP.
Set up in Claude
- Sign in at claude.ai and open Settings.
- Select Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- Paste the connection URL above into the Remote MCP server URL field.
- Name it ScoreApp and add it.
- When prompted, sign in to ScoreApp and choose the account you want to connect.
Set up in ChatGPT
- Sign in at chatgpt.com and open Settings.
- Open Apps & Connectors, then turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings.
- Go back to Apps & Connectors and select Create.
- Paste the connection URL above into the MCP server URL field.
- Name it ScoreApp, choose OAuth authentication, and create it.
- When prompted, sign in to ScoreApp and choose the account you want to connect.
What the assistant can access
The connection is scoped to one ScoreApp account, the one you pick when you authorise it. It can't see your other accounts.
It also respects your own permissions. If you're a collaborator without access to leads or statistics, the assistant can't read them either. It only ever sees what you could see by logging in yourself.
Here is everything it can read.

Tools your plan or permissions don't cover simply won't appear in your AI client.
Your data and your leads' data
When you connect ScoreApp to Claude or ChatGPT, the data the assistant reads is sent to Anthropic or OpenAI to answer your question. That includes your leads' personal details if you ask about them.
If you're responsible for your leads' data, it's worth checking this is covered by your own privacy notice and your agreements with your customers before you connect, the same as you would for any other tool you send lead data to.
If you'd like to limit what's shared with your AI tool:
Turn off individual tools in your AI client
Both Claude and ChatGPT let you review the tools a connector provides and switch off or block the ones you don't want, in that connector's settings. This is useful if you want the assistant for scorecard and reporting questions but never for leads.
To exclude lead data entirely this way, turn off all seven tools in the Leads table above. Turning off only some of them won't do it e.g. list-results alone will still return names and email addresses.
Two things to keep in mind:
- This is a personal setting in your own Claude or ChatGPT account. It doesn't apply to anyone else who connects to the same ScoreApp account, and there's no way to check from ScoreApp whether someone has set it.
- Menus in Claude and ChatGPT change from time to time. See Claude's connector guide or ChatGPT's developer mode guide for the current steps.
Good habits
- Only connect ScoreApp to an account you control.
- Don't share Claude or ChatGPT chats containing lead data with people who shouldn't see it.
- Disconnect the connector when you no longer need it, access is revoked immediately.
Disconnecting
Remove the ScoreApp connector in Claude or ChatGPT and access stops straight away. Nothing in your ScoreApp account changes, and you can reconnect later whenever you like.
Troubleshooting
A tool is missing. Tools only appear if your plan includes the feature and your user has the right permission. Check the tables above — for example, the reporting tools need a plan with reports, and lead tools need the Manage leads permission.
The assistant says it can't see leads. Either your user doesn't have the Manage leads permission, or you connected a different account than you meant to. Remove the connector and add it again to pick the right account.
Names and emails are missing from the answers. Someone with Manage account access has probably turned on Hide lead contact details from AI assistants under Account → MCP.
The assistant can't find a lead by email. That search is switched off while Hide lead contact details is on. Look the lead up in ScoreApp instead.
Nothing loads at all. Check you pasted https://mcp.scoreapp.com exactly, and that you completed the ScoreApp sign-in step when prompted.
