Troubleshooting: Dynamic Content Toggle Not Staying On

If you're trying to enable Dynamic Content on the Results Page but the toggle keeps turning off after saving, it’s likely due to how ScoreApp handles default content settings.

Why This Happens

ScoreApp doesn’t store a section’s default content unless you make at least one change. This means:

  • If no edits are made to the section after adding it (e.g. you haven't changed the text, formatting, or added a space), the toggle for Dynamic Content won’t be saved either, even if you switch it on.
  • This behavior prevents storing redundant data in the database.

How to Fix It

To successfully enable Dynamic Content:

  • Add a section (e.g. Overall Score or Category Result).
  • Click the Dynamic Content toggle to turn it on.
  • Make a minor change to the content inside the section:
    • Add or delete a word
    • Insert a space or line break
    • Change punctuation
  • Click Save.

This change ensures that the section content is stored in the database, allowing your Dynamic Content toggle to be saved properly as well.
