Customise Lead Form Position and Appearance
There are 2 key ways to configure how your lead form behaves and appears. Firsty via the Lead form settings page where you will be able to configure global Scorecard settings such as custom fields, opt in settings and advanced email validation (for more details please see The Scorecard Lead Form article) and secondly via the specific landing page or result page where your Lead form is shown which is where you will find settings more related to the appearance of the lead form such as colours, fonts, heading text etc.
This article aims to cover the specific on page appearance settings including moving the position of your lead form and even removing the lead form completely.
Lead form before questions
To present your leads with the lead form before they go to the main quiz questions, simply add either a lead form section to your landing page, or configure a banner or similar landing page section button to open the lead form from within the specific section settings.
If you would like to enforce this, so that the only way to access the questions is if the lead form has first been submitted, be sure to configure the Lead form behaviour to Before questions from the global lead form configuration page. For more details please see The Scorecard Lead Form article.
Further customising the lead form appearance on landing pages
Whether your lead form shows directly on your landing page or in a pop up modal is controlled via the sections you use on your landing page. There is a variety of specific On page form sections to choose from which can be added to any landing page. Each section will provide a unique array of settings which will allow you to further customise the appearance of the form, including the header text and button text.
If you'd prefer your lead form to appear in a pop up modal when a user clicks a button on your landing page you can use any of the landing page sections that include a button, and configure the button to open the lead form. In this scenario you will find a specific Lead form popup section automatically added to your landing page. Clicking this section will allow you to edit the popup text and other appearance settings.
Lead form after questions
If you'd like the lead form to appear after the main quiz questions first ensure the Lead form behaviour is configured to "After questions". This will allow visitors to access the questions without first submitting the lead form. You can do this by either changing the setting on the global lead form configuration page (please see The Scorecard Lead Form article) or via changing the button behaviour on a banner (or similar) section on one of your landing pages. When you set the button behaviour to "Go to questions" you will be prompted to toggle the form behaviour if required.
With the form behaviour set to "after questions" you are free to remove any lead form sections from your landing pages if you have any, and ensure any buttons on your landing pages are configured to go to the Questions.
Further customising the lead form appearance after questions
If you have followed the above steps to remove the lead form from your landing pages, and direct leads directly to your questions, you should now find that your lead form will show in a pop up box on your results page, with the results masked.
This behavior can be further configured by editing your result page and clicking on the lead form section.
