Using Hidden Fields on your Lead Form

Hidden fields allow you to pass and capture additional information via a special link to your Scorecard that will then be stored against a lead when they complete your lead form. This can be useful to capture custom data points such as referral codes, partner IDs, or unique identifiers.

How to Add a Hidden Field

  1. From your ScoreApp account area, select the Scorecard you'd like to add a hidden form fields to
  2. Under settings go to Lead Form.
  3. Select Add Field.
  4. Choose the Hidden Field option.
  5. Enter a Question Label and Key (e.g., referrer ).
  6. Click save

Pre-Populating Hidden Fields

To populate the hidden field with data, add the field’s key as a query parameter along with the required value to your Scorecard URL when you share it with leads.

Example:

https://yourscorecard.scoreapp.com?referrer=Add+Value+Here
  • referrer = the key you set up in your hidden field.
  • Add Value Here = the value you want to pass into ScoreApp which will be stored against the lead when they complete the lead form.

When the lead submits the form, the hidden field value will be available to use in the same way as another other field on the lead form. I.e visible under Leads, available in exports, mappable into your CRM, merge tags and audience criteria.
